Call for Papers
THYMOS: Journal of Boyhood Studies provides an interdisciplinary platform and venue for the study of boys' lives throughout the world. We welcome essays and research papers ranging through the humanities and comparative literature, anthropology and social sciences, history, bioethics, and the psychological and medical sciences. The journal is intended to be international in scope and not limited to contributions on boyhood in the West.
Qualitative studies and collaborative projects are welcomed. Contributors should feel free to follow the style standards of their discipline in preparing manuscripts. We also invite book reviews and reviews of other media (art, theatre, film).
We are currently accepting full manuscripts. When submitting a completed manuscript, please include a working title, abstract, the academic or other formal affiliation of the contributor(s), and full correspondence details (mailing address, phone number and email address).
Manuscripts should be sent to the Managing Editor: diederikjanssen@gmail.com. We will initially publish two issues annually (Spring and Fall).
We invite you to inform your colleagues about this call for papers. For further information about THYMOS: Journal of Boyhood Studies, please contact the editor, Miles Groth, PhD: mgroth@wagner.edu.
